Numb

It’s said that most of the greatest writers are sufferers. I was thinking the correlation. Why would suffering lead to talent?

In one way or another they lacked the simple daily pleasures. The simple daily pleasures, daily passions/goals, which make us numb in our comfort zones. Like little doses of endorphin pills taken for a symptomatic treatment. Enough to keep us away any quests. To make us stay numb, sedated.

The blind people’s hearing senses are much more sensitive than those can see. Those writers, sufferers, in a way, in soberness, could see, could feel what we ordinary people can’t.
